Ali Kavani

Ali Kavani (Farsi translation) got his MA degree in History from the University of Tehran in 2002. In 2003, he finished the Advanced Masters Program of the TANAP programme at Leiden University. In 2008, he got his PhD (summa cum laude) from the University of Tehran.

During the Advanced Masters Program (AMP) at Leiden University Ali Kavani’s area of study was: Perso-Dutch Trade Relations with Emphasis on the Remaining VOC (Dutch East India Company) Documents Related to its Activities in Iran.

The title of his well received PhD Thesis (2008) is: Role and Situation of Persian Armenians from the Fall of the Safavids (1722/1736) until the Beginning of the Perso-Russian Wars (1804).
